Turkish, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Hold Talks in Ankara

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Ankara on Thursday, according to Turkish diplomatic sources.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Organization of Turkic States foreign ministers’ gathering. No additional information about the discussions was immediately released.

Fidan hosted the broader ministerial meeting, with participating foreign ministers posing for a group photograph before the session began.

This year’s gathering is scheduled to conclude on Friday and is being held under the theme “Turkic Century: Unity in Language, Thought and Deed.”

Founded in 2009, the Organization of Turkic States was initially known as the Turkic Council before adopting its current name.

Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are full members of the organization. Turkmenistan, Hungary, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Economic Cooperation Organization participate as observers.
